PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING
We request the following information in an attempt to assist you with the selection of your companion animal. The animal’s welfare is our foremost consideration. This process is designed to help us determine if the placement is in the animal’s best interest and to assist you in finding an animal best suited to your lifestyle. SCAAR reserves the right to refuse an adoption to anyone for any reason. No animal will be adopted to prospective owners who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.
**WE DO NOT reply to all adoption applications. We are a volunteer based rescue and some dogs receive numerous applications in a short period of time. Only approved applicants will receive a reply email.
**IT IS NOT A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE PROCESS - IT IS BEST FIT FOR THE DOG!**
Please read the following information carefully:
Fill out the application completely
The adoption fee for all dogs is $500 (unless otherwise stated) and is due at the time of adoption. We do not do payment plans.
The adoptions team reviews applications fairly quickly. Typically it only takes 24 hours -48 hours to review and approve an application. If you have already had an application approved it will be much quicker.
The adoptions team will send you a text shortly after sending you an email to ensure that you check your junk folder for our reply email.
PLEASE DO NOT GHOST US AFTER FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION
. We are all volunteers and are trying to get these sweet souls adopted into loving families. If you receive an email reply from us PLEASE reply even if you are no longer able to adopt.
Please
DO NOT
apply if you are going on vacation, are on vacation or are not ready to welcome the dog in question into your family right away.
Every effort will be made to review the applications in a timely manner.
We require an application for EACH dog you are applying to adopt.
All family members
(canine included) must meet the new dog before adoption to ensure compatibility. Unless otherwise discussed.
The adoptions team does not reply to all applications, just the successful applicant as we are all volunteers and can not reply to every application that comes in.
All of our dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, been dewormed, flea/tick prevented, heartworm tested if they are over 8 months of age, all dogs over 8 months are also spayed/neutered unless medically unable to be due to size or medical issues.
All dogs come with 30 days of free pet insurance through Trupanion. This insurance is not active until the NEW owner activates it after adoption. It is EMERGENCY insurance only and does not cover basic vetting or exams.
All dogs adopted in the city of London come with a free dog license registration form.
